The Apprentice

I was thinking about the TV show 'The Apprentice' I was writing a talk today and thought about how 20000 people applied to become the right-hand man for Donald Trump and forge ahead with a successful career. At Christmas time we hear that Jesus is called the LORD (Lk2:11), but very rarely do dwell upon the fact that he is the LORD of our lives. Why not this Christmas ponder the idea that we are 'apprentices' to the real master who promises more than a successful career? It is a promise where you will never hear the words .......'You're fired!'
